When beginning improvisers are developing their vocabulary, melodic and harmonic language often receive more attention than rhythmic language. In my opinion, rhythm is just as important as pitch - or perhaps even more important - when crafting a solo. This etude is intended to provide ideas and inspiration for developing a more interesting and diverse rhythmic vocabulary.
INCLUDES:
A PDF containing the etude (a four-chorus F blues) with annotations, along with a list of recommended artists to listen to for further inspiration.
a MIDI recording of the etude
**This product is delivered as a digital download in .zip format.
